Meet our Counselors
Ms. Michelle Hyman | 6th Grade
Ms. Hyman has a B.A. in Psychology from Arizona State University, a M.Ed. in School Counseling from Georgia State University and an Ed.S. in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. She has been a school counselor in Gwinnett County for 22 years. Prior to entering the public school system, Ms. Hyman was employed with Cobb County DFACS Child Protective Services Investigations. She and her husband stay busy with two young adult children that just graduated from college last year!
Ms. Kayla McClure | 7th Grade
Kayla McClure has a BA in psychology from the University of West Georgia and a Master's degree in School Counseling from Georgia State University. She joined us two years ago as our long term substitute counselor and we just couldn't let her go! She is also a volunteer counselor with the Red Cross where she counsels disaster victims in the state of Georgia. She lives in the cluster with her husband, one GSMST student, one LMS student, one elementary student, a giant dog, and a tiny turtle.

Ms. Taejah Harris | 8th Grade
Taejah Harris holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Prairie View A&M University, a M.A. in Pastoral Counseling: Marriage and Family from Liberty University, and a M.Ed in School Counseling from Georgia State University. Before joining LMS, she served as a paraprofessional at a therapeutic day school for children with disabilities and served in the U.S. Army. She has a passion for growth mindset and helping students meet their goals. She is a mom to a mini athlete that keeps her on her toes as well as a rottweiler puppy.
